Why We Love It

“I love a juicy, fruity coffee, and the Vunga delivers that in spades. A pop of mandarin orange juiciness mellows out into a red grape sweetness, with the pleasant black tea-like finish. This coffee hits all the right notes. It’s a complex and satisfying drinking experience. I could drink it all day.” — Chloe Langham, Educator

About this coffee

A two-time winner of the prestigious Cup of Excellence competition, the Vunga Cooperative is comprised of nearly 250 producers in the Rwanda’s Nyabibu district. Using careful processing methods, including an eco-friendly de-pulping technique, wet fermentation and well-regulated sun drying, the Vunga Cooperative produces beautiful coffees that also impact the local community for the better.
