Aidé Garro

Why We Love It

“This coffee is the result of an exciting new cultivar and the work of a skilled and passionate producer. Delicate floral notes, complex flavors of juicy tropical fruits, and hard-candy sweetness are all present in this truly immaculate coffee.” – Jonathan Withers, Green Coffee Buyer

About this coffee

Our newest coffee comes to us from producer Aidé Garro in Urrao, the same region where we source El Faldón and El Ramo. The region’s extreme elevations, classic cultivars and unique farming practices create a coffee profile that is fruit-forward with juicy sweetness and brilliant acidity.

The coffee Garro grows is a rare variety, caturra chiroso, that is only found in this small area of Colombia. This variety first landed on our radar last year when sourcing coffee for the Brewer’s Cup competition and we cannot wait to offer this unique coffee this spring.
